you can now subscribe to my newsletter, just in case you find it more convenient than checking into a rss feed or coming to my site. now you have the option…
it’s at the top of the sidebar, all you have to do is enter your e-mail address and click the subscribe button. you’ll receive a link in your inbox for confirming the subscription and that’s it.
i promise not to be annoying and send you e-mails everyday, or to give your e-mail address to anyone else. i also promise not to talk to you like a salesperson.
ralph carney plays all kinds of crazy-looking unique instruments and plays all of them really well. he worked with successful people like Tom Waits, Jonathan Richman, William Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, B-52’s, Marc Ribot, Bill Laswell, David Thomas, Hal Wilner, Elvis Costello, Tipsy, Galaxie 500, Daevid Allen, Mushroom, Oranj Symphonette and The Black Keys.
a new drawing for my site (on the top left corner). painted with my brand new and first ever Winsor & Newton sable brush. i love it and i want to buy more.
i think i like this drawing, i’m going to work on adding a background…
quite representative of the fact that i’m just starting to learn how to use a brush.
in case you don’t already know about book mooch, it’s a great way to get books for (almost) free. all you have to do is give away one book in order to receive one, and pay for shipping to send it out. it’s also free to join. a good way to get that out of print book that’s been on your mind. perhaps the whole book mooch thing is better explained here.
BOOK MOOCH
they also have this really nice drawing, by i don’t know who. and the whole website is incredibly cute.
I just joined Project52, i’m at number 719 on the list. this project was created to motivate procrastinating bloggers and website owners to post new content more often. so we have to write at least one post a week for the next year, otherwise i’m guessing they will make sure we are very ashamed of ourselves. i don’t like the idea of quantity over quality, but once a week doesn’t seem overkill.
