i’m working on a new art-o-mat project. it’s going to be a short comic drawn with colored pencils. each will be an original, so not a copy. they sell for $5 and i make a whopping $2.50 per item sold. meaning with shipping costs and the cost of boxes and the fact that it takes about an hour to make each, i’m really not doing this for the money because there isn’t any to make. but i think it’s a good way to get people to know me. here’s a few sketches…

i might also start selling these on etsy.com, but they’ll be slightly more expensive. they also will be original drawings, each being a little different. i got the idea from the shitty products print, which i removed from my site since it looked kind of awful. and i don’t need to have both a print and a comic saying the exact same thing.
my drawing skills were not so great when i drew this… but that’s how anyone learns, right?

what i was trying to communicate, which might or might not be clear, is simply that knowledge can help in keeping you out of trouble. and that the world, and other people will most likely have no pity if you’re not aware of something and will go right ahead and take sweet advantage of you.
i came up with the text maybe 5 years ago… i can’t say i’m very proud of the drawing on this, i might re-draw it eventually. this is the first comic i ever tried to draw, not this version though, i must have re-drawn it at least 5 times and this is the latest one.
still don’t know what i was thinking by making all the squares the same size… my guess is i probably wasn’t.

all i’m trying to say here is that relationships are better when all parties involved want the same thing from each other.

about how much we’re all being judged by the look of us. and how much it influences what people think of you. you could be dress one way one day and then another on the next and be treated completely differently by the same damn person. of course things change once people get to know you, but i still think we’re too focused on the visual.
i used to be more like that and thought that all impeccably stylish people were super-intelligent. now i know some people look great just because they spend all their spare time shopping, or because they spend lots of money on clothing, or because they try to compensate for a lack of something, or they’re just lucky to look good.
but also eating lots of raw food and greens will make you look as good as you can. nothing wrong with looking good of course, but some people don’t look so great and still have beautiful souls and vice-versa.
