i discovered this wonderful video on Bizzaro’s blog. it’s so good i had to be a copycat and add it to my site.

i might also start selling these on etsy.com, but they’ll be slightly more expensive. they also will be original drawings, each being a little different. i got the idea from the shitty products print, which i removed from my site since it looked kind of awful. and i don’t need to have both a print and a comic saying the exact same thing.

i think a lot of these turned out pretty good, i try not to create anything i wouldn’t buy myself. i’m actually thinking of buying this yellow mug… so if you can afford it and want to help me spend more of my time making comics, you can find hugger-mugger comicx products on these sites… if you ever buy something and think the quality is less than acceptable, please let me know. obviously i can’t buy everything and see them for myself. but there’s been no complaint.

it’s so much fun to make these products. but also very time-consuming, these sites are running pretty slowly. and it does get repetitive after a while, entering tag after tag, description after description… obviously i would like to be able to make art for a living and this seems like a good way to go about it. i did spend thirty-something years perfecting my skills and developing my own style, and i do think if you’re able to make nice art you should get paid for it. the question is always is my art nice enough to be worth anything… i don’t know that for sure, hopefully you can help me answer that question.

if you know of better sites please let me know. especially if you know of a better way of making t-shirts, i’d be interested in hearing about it.

and spreadshirt has some nice-looking organic t-shirts. these things are not cheap, but even if i were to set my commission at 0%, it would still be not cheap.

if you ever do buy something, know that i really appreciate it… not just for the money, but for the fact that you’re allowing me to spend more time doing this. i don’t make very much profit per product but anything helps. i still rarely get paid for drawing and i wish i could.

if you show me a proof of payment, i’ll be happy to mail you a sketch of mine, as long as you pay for shipping costs (unless it’s very low), nothing super complex obviously, these take a long time to make, but not something too shitty either. i’m serious, this is my way to repay you. you can even make suggestions as to what you would like me to draw. also because it means you actually read this entire post which is kind of long.

this print kind of insults drivers saying that most people can’t drive. haha. well sorry, but that’s based on personal experience. i recently moved to a quieter neighborhood, but in the area where i lived before, i used to make encounters with bad drivers on almost a daily basis. i think reflexes also have to do with health and a lot of people are not really taking good care of themselves. when i was unhealthier i remember i was kind of clumsy and would spill and bump into things all the time… today i don’t wear as many bruises on my skin.

it represents the anxiety i sometimes feel when crossing the street. i feel like many drivers are kind of inept at driving and i really don’t trust them. in my view a car is like a dangerous weapon in the hands of people with bad reflexes. and who don’t realize they’re handling something that can easily kill or injure people.
