this guy has the snowman with clown-nose look. which i was thinking the other day that my inspiration probably came from growing up in a cold climate. the clownish part i think comes from the fact that i think men have a very clownish side to them. no offense, it’s kind of a compliment. i think humor is a survival skill for men among other male mates, also as a way of getting women and keeping them around. and who doesn’t like to have a laugh? humor can be used for all kinds of purpose, not always good ones, but good ones too.
i have to admit that sometimes i find that some men put humor higher on the priority list to other things like respect. i also think that women (in general) don’t have a sense of humor as developed as men, but then they have other senses more fully developed. anyway men are becoming more like women and vice-versa. i’m well aware there are plenty of exceptions, but i think often there is at least “some truth” to prejudices. ouch, i hope that didn’t hurt too much. but prejudices are when we make a big deal out of things we shouldn’t. if something is encouraged by a certain culture it will naturally become more common. nothing to freak out about.

i came up with this this morning. for now i’m calling it “can i keep it”. she’s holding the sun, a metaphor for happiness, but life might not let her get away with being happy.
it’s been a while since i last rss feeded. the raw food detox has been tough. but now i’m feeling real good on this diet. i think many of us are pretty sick (in the head as well as in the body), and it’s not our fault, greed has taken over our eating habits. raw food is amazing because it heals mentally as much as physically. for more about raw food take a look at my “Tips n’ Tricks” section.
here’s what’s new with hugger-mugger comicx: i’m not as lazy as i used to be, i now sell shirts and prints on spreadshirt and pretty soon on zazzle, my website has been improved or so i like to think and my website address has changed to hugger-mugger-comicx.com.
many drawings on my site have changed in the last few months, i didn’t include them all here, mainly because i keep changing everything all the time. and i will continue to do so until i’m pretty much satisfied.
i’m also planning on redrawing some old comics and illustrations, i usually do this when i like the content but not the visual aspect. it might seem like i cant come up with new ideas, but it’s really that i just can’t stand having ugly drawings on my site. and i like to keep improving everything. also, as my drawing skills improve, my old drawings stop representing my current skill level. plus i’m still very much learning how to do art and still developing my style. i’m hoping one day i won’t need to do this, but meanwhile you can observe my learning process, which must be kind of interesting?
